The Alexandria/Arlington Regional Workforce Council serves as the local Workforce Development Board under the federal  Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The Council is comprised of individuals representing business, economic development, housing and urban development, vocational rehabilitation, organized labor, and community-based organizations.

The Council provides oversight over WIOA-funded services available at our region's two American Job Centers, the  Alexandria Workforce Development Center  and the  Arlington Employment Center . These services include financial support for college tuition and vocational certifications, subsidies for transportation, books, and fees while in school, and uniforms for employment.

Alexandria/Arlington Regional Workforce Council is in the process of developing our next local plan. We are interested in hearing your thoughts about the needs and opportunities for our region's workforce. 

We would like to hear from you!

Three ways to provide your feedback:

or

• Call the Regional Workforce Director at 703-228-1412 between 10am and 3pm, from November ^4th to ^15th . 

or

• Meet with the Regional Workforce Director on November 15 ^th , from 9am to 3pm at the Arlington Employment Center (2100 Washington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22204, 1 ^st Floor Conference Room Number 181).
